How to Care for Your Nonstick Wok: Before using your nonstick wok for the first time, lightly rub cooking oil onto the interior surface and heat the wok over medium heat for two minutes. Be careful not to overheat the wok or it may damage the surface. When it cools, wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Dry thoroughly. Always add cooking liquid or oil to your nonstick wok before preheating. Heating an empty wok may damage the coating. Always use bamboo, wood or tools that are safe for nonstick surfaces. Do not cut or use sharp metal objects in the wok as this may damage the surface. As with any fine cookware, do not place your nonstick wok in the dishwasher. Use a soft cloth to wash with warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Do not use scouring powder, abrasives or metal pads which can damage the nonstick coating. To prolong the life your nonstick wok, after cleaning, treat the interior surface with a light swipe of cooking oil before storing. To remove stubborn grease or food residue, mix 2 tablespoons baking soda with 1 tablespoon household bleach. Apply and let sit for 15 minutes. Scrub gently with a soft sponge or nylon brush.
