Sourcing a farm that could grow our special variety of fresh eggplant, while upholding the organic standards, was more difficult than we anticipated. Finally, we found a farmer that was just as passionate about his crops as we were about using them in our meals. Our eggplant is carefully sliced, breaded, and baked to perfection, just as I had watched Mom do many times. Natural mozzarella cheese and Mom's organic tomato sauce is added to complete this healthy dish. Once you taste her savory sauce, you'll wish that we sold it in jars. Organic Tomatoes (organic Tomatoes, Sea Salt), Organic Eggplant, Mozzarella Rbst Free (pasteurized Part Skim Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes), Water, Organic Breadcrumbs (organic Wheat Flour, Seasoning Blend [salt, Organic Herbs], Yeast, Salt, Organic Vegetable Oil), Egg White, Onions, Imported Romano Cheese (pasteurized Sheep's Milk, Rennet, Salt), White Whole Wheat Flour, Olive Oil, Parmesan Cheese (pasteurized Part Skim Cow's Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes), Sea Salt, Spices, Garlic.
Directions
Keep frozen. Cook thoroughly. Cooking Instructions: Do not thaw. Keep frozen until ready to use. Due to variations in all ovens, cooking times and/or temperature may require adjustment. Conventional Oven: 30-40 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Remove entree from carton. Leave film on tray (oven-safe). Remove frozen entree from carton and place tray on cookie sheet (for added support) on center rack (at least 6 inches - 8 inches from heating elements). Bake at 400 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until hot. Carefully remove film. Let stand for 1 minute before serving. Microwave Oven (1100W): 4-5 minutes. Remove entree from carton. Place on microwave-safe plate (leave film on). Heat on high for 4-5 minutes. Remove from microwave on plate for added support. Carefully remove film. Let stand for 1 minute before serving. Product must be cooked thoroughly to 160 degrees F. Do not cook in toaster ovens.
