Bella Italia Regionali is a unique line of artisan products that represents the ancient culinary traditions of Italy's 20 regions (scan the QR code to get more info). Thanks to the slow drying process of the pasta, it conserves unsaturated not only the nutritional factors, but even the essence taste and flavor. Fileja also know as Scialatielli, is a pasta of ancient origin, typical of the Calabrian tradition and widely associated with the area of Vibo Valentia. A few millimeters thick, usually 3 - 4 at most, and light yellow in color, its shape recalls a screw that has been stretched out. The soul of Scialatielli is the ability to spin or, in local dialect, u filariu dinacu or dinaculu. The dough is wrapped to resemble an Esparto, which is a cord-like shape made from dough grass that grows wild and can also be used to make fiber. Pasta Cooking Instructions: Use 1 quart (1 l) of water for 3.5 oz (100 g) of pasta. Bring water to a boil, add salt and pasta. Boil for about 19 minutes. Drain pasta in a colander and serve with your favourite sauce. Cooking time 19 minutes. Pasta Storage Instructions: Store in a cool dry place.
