Directions

Directions: For an easy, fast start, we recommend using a charcoal chimney to get your coals ready. Simply fill the chimney and place it over a solid fire starter or crumpled paper. Light the starter and let the coals burn down to a gray tone and begin to ash. Then carefully dump the coals into the grill and spread evenly. Close the lid and vents to extinguish any flames. You can also build your fire without a chimney by stacking the charcoal in a pyramid on top of a solid fire starter or other starter. Then light the fire starter. Let the charcoal burn for approximately 15 to 20 minutes with the lid and all vents open. When the coals turn to a gray tone and begin to ash, close the vents and lid. Wait about one minute for flames to subside, then open lid and spread coals evenly. Place food on the grill and close the lid. Cooking with the lid closed prevents flare-ups and allows the charcoal to give better smoke flavor to the foods cooked. When using starter fluid, refer to the manufacturer's instructions.

Storage: Avoid wet environments. Avoid contact with sparks.
