Brewing Tips: Brewing great-tasting coffee is easy. You get out of it what you put into it. That means beginning with the best beans. Choose from freshly roasted, quality whole bean coffees like Steep & Brew. You get only the best of the best, because we've spent more than 25 years developing relationships with growers of the finest arabica beans all over the world. Grind to match your brewer. Too fine a grind brews a harsh, bitter cup; too coarse brews thin and weak. Use enough coffee, generally 1 to 2 tablespoons per 6-ounce cup. More for stronger, more flavorful coffee; less for a lighter flavor. Clean your brewer often to remove coffee oil build-up. Hot, soapy water usually does the trick. Storage Tips: Coffee stored in sealed airtight contains in your freezer keeps whole beans reasonably fresh for 4-6 weeks; ground coffee for up to 2-3 weeks. Don't let your beans thaw. Grind your coffee fresh each time and scoop fresh-ground coffee right into your brewer, then quickly reseal this bag and whisk it back into cold-storage. Buy in quantities that match your use. Fresh coffee is much more flavorful coffee. So don't buy too much at one time. Freshness is the soul of great coffee.
