Get ready: Move oven rack to lowest position in oven for tube pan or middle position for loaf pans. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Get set: Blend cake mix and 1 1/4 cups water in large glass or metal bowl at low speed until moistened. Beat with a mixer on medium speed for 1 minute. Do not overbeat.; batter may be thin. Pour batter into ungreased pan(s). Bake: Follow baking times below. When crust is deep golden brown and cracks on top appear dry, your cake is done. Do not underbake. Pan size: 10 x 4 - inch tube pan bake 35 to 45 min. Two 9 x 5 - inch loaf pans bake 33 to 43 min. Cool round cake upside down on glass bottle or heatproof surface until completely cool. Cool loaves in pans tipped on side on cooling rack until completely cool. Loosen edges with flat knife or metal spatula to remove from pans. For best results at high altitudes, add 2 tablespoons flour, increase water to 1 1/2 cups and bake as directed at 375 degrees F.
