Stovetop Directions: Heat 1/2 cup water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan. Add edamame pods. Cover; reduce heat to medium-high and boil gently 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain. (To serve cold, rinse with cold water; drain.) Do not consumer pods; remove edamame from pods before eating. Microwave directions: Add edamame pods to 1-1/2-quart round microwavable casserole dish. Cover, microwave on high according to chart, stirring halfway through cook time. Caution: Hot! Uncover carefully, stir well. (To serve cold, rinse with cold water, drain.) Do not consume pods, remove edamame from pods before eating. Microwave wattage (Microwave wattages vary; adjust cook time for the wattage of your microwave. Do not leave microwave unattended): 1200: 4:30 to 5:00 (Time on high); Microwave wattage (Microwave wattages vary; adjust cook time for the wattage of your microwave. Do not leave microwave unattended): 1000: 5:00 to 6:00 (Time on high); Microwave wattage (Microwave wattages vary; adjust cook time for the wattage of your microwave. Do not leave microwave unattended): 700: 7:00 to 7:30 (Time on high). For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Before eating, cook thoroughly to at least 160 degrees F. Keep frozen until ready to cook. Refrigerate leftovers. Do not microwave in bag.
