Rice Range Top: What You Need: 1 tablespoon olive oil; 1-1/3 cups water. 1. In medium saucepan, combine olive oil, water, rice and special seasonings. Bring to a boil. 2. Cover; reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer 24 to 26 minutes or until most of water is absorbed. 3. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Stir well before serving. 2 cups prepared. Microwave: In 2-quart microwaveable bowl, combine rice, special seasonings, 2-3/4 cups water and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Microwave uncovered at high 24-29 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Microwave ovens vary; adjust times as needed. Less Fat: Follow Range Top or Microwave directions, except omit any added oil and add additional 3 tablespoons water.
