Unspecified Cooking Directions on the Stove: 1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil (Cooking Measurement Chart: 1 cup rice 2 1/2 cups water 3 1/2 cups makes (cups cooked) 5 servings (3/4 cup cooked). 2 cups rice 5 cups water 7 cups makes (cups cooked) 9 servings (3/4 cup cooked). 3 cups rice 7 1/2 cups water 10 1/2 cups makes (cups cooked) 14 servings (3/4 cup cooked)). 2. Stir in rice (Add 1 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired). 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Microwave: Cooking Directions in the Microwave (It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate): 1. In a 2 1/2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 3 cups water and 1 cup brown rice. 2. Microwave uncovered on high for 10 minutes. Reduce power to 50%, microwave uncovered for 20 minutes. Allow rice to sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. Do not add salt or butter/margarine to the rice until after the rice is cooked.
Brown Rice Storage: For longer shelf life we recommend storing brown rice in the refrigerator or freezer.

- There may be a "pickup fee" (equivalent to a delivery fee for pickup orders) on your pick up order that is typically $1.99 for non-Instacart+ members. Instacart+ membership waives this like it would a delivery fee.
- Pick up orders have no service fees, regardless of non-Instacart+ or Instacart+ membership.
