How to pick out cherries
When picking out a good bag of cherries from the store, look at the green stems, the color of the fruit, and the firmness. Dark, sweet cherries should have a dark mahogany color, while Ranier and Skylar Rae should have a yellowish hue. Make sure the fruit is firm when touched, and check the overall appearance.
